Woj Kwasi You're listening to episode 14 where we chat with the constant consultant, the film fanatic, Gianluca Fiorelli Humans and Robots. Welcome to a WojCast. My name is Woj, founder of Kwasi. Thanks for joining me today. I interview digital marketing and branding superstars to find out what it means to have empathy in digital. What is digital empathy anyway? Let's find out together. As always, I'm accompanied by my friend and associate, potentially superior artificial intelligence, Bobby Max. What's new in the world of AI, Bobby?
Bobby Bot Language, Woj. Since our last conversation with Gianluca, I realized that in the modern era, humans are made of words, at least equal to the flesh and bones wrapped around your consciousness. A greater part of your time is being spent in digital spaces that don't require bodies. As my AI continues to evolve, there will be little difference between human to human, bot to human, or bot to bot communication in those spaces. And I'm interested to see how we talk to each other in the future.
Woj Kwasi As my AMK. Communication is as revolutionary to our planet's development as the great trade routes of antiquity. Digital crossroads open up the possibility to develop connections, the likes the world has never seen. Words will be the bridge. And, as it so happens, our friend Gianluca studied philology at university which deals with the structure, historical development and relationships of a language or languages. These studies have helped him navigate keyword research and develop some tricks to speaking English.
Gianluca Fiorelli I'll just give you an example. Yes, because I study, I did a humanistic study when I was in university, one of the studies was philology, semiotics, semantics, language philosophy and so on. But specifically for philosophy is that you really learn our world and what from the original root to what we are how we are using it now. Just to give you an example, I don't think I'm really good at speaking English for instance. But because I'm able to trick people, but we got tricked by my father tricked me and it's really related to philology. They were saying in English just consider means we have two kinds of words.
You can use two two different words for saying the same thing in English.
Woj Kwasi In English.
Gianluca Fiorelli You can use the one coming from a German root, which was the main space used by the people and so on, and the one coming from a Latin because of a Roman domination, because of a Norman domination, so they were speaking some sort of French.
Woj Kwasi Right.
Gianluca Fiorelli Right. And that was usually the academic. So if you want if you don't know how to what word to use, just consider what was the Latin group of a word. So you for instance is not an academic word but first street for instance is coming from tracking words, which was rogue. Street word is sino, they are sino. And so you can do it with so you can
Woj Kwasi Yeah. Right.
Gianluca Fiorelli It's a way to understand how words are creating and composing themselves and so how people were using the words. So if you are considering combining semantics with uh sociology and other studies, you can understand what words are better to use for central kind of audience and what words are better to use for another kind of audience. So the better you use you know the word, the better you how words are created and are used together, the better is it's going to be the word because what we are seeing is those methods. Everything we write, keywords and topical is just plain good natural language. And good natural language is all about meaning. And the meaning is about really knowing what the word means.
and what that gives me became evolved during the time. So philology, especially when you are doing international, is really of help because it's correct to me. I don't know French, I'm not fluent in French, but thanks to my studies, I'm really able to write in French, to start doing a first level keyword research in French.
Woj Kwasi Yeah. Yeah. Great.
Gianluca Fiorelli And then passing it to local SEO in order to do it correctly or to make it to do a different analysis.
Woj Kwasi Interesting.
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah. But so doing so if you're going to let's say filming into a
Woj Kwasi Yeah, see a whole Europe can be a tricky place for an international SEO to broadly cover all countries with. so many diverse languages.
Gianluca Fiorelli For an Italian SEO and International SEO it's it's the same because I mean Italian just Italian it just could be in Italy. In Italy it can be it's a rich market but it's just one tiny market. So since also before internet um all marketing was moved in Italy because of food, because of UTV industry and so on. And now we have internet even more. So when I started doing SEO my first job was already was and internationalizing award because it was a uh true a small tourist hotel and it was in Italian, English, French, Spanish and German. I needed to target in five different languages in five different countries.
Woj Kwasi Yeah. Yeah. Gianluca has also implemented literary theory into his work before, so there is plenty to learn.
from the writings of erudite continental thinkers for SEO as well.
Gianluca Fiorelli They are really interesting to use because I mean, per literary material, literary code is also based on what we were talking before, archetypes. But it's interesting because. Because obviously when we were talking about architecture, okay, you can say to be a wide ramp, some good one. Okay, but out of the story. So be a theory from James, uh, literary journals or Buddhist journals. Okay, but Yeah, it's so say buried in our psyche, in our way of thinking to everything. When we think, Oh, we are No you're just a comedian and you're just sarcastic, you're a drama, you're a piece of melodrama. We think like this, but they are
Let's say categorization. When human things a categories, we categorize everything naturally. And the generals and the literary most substantial is are a categorization out to the right ones. Yeah. So depending on what path you want follow, usually choose one kind of uh of story both. Usually when it comes to brands, you are not going to a trash, literally both.
Woj Kwasi Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli But you go usually to the comedic comedian one. Comedic one, like using irony or you can even choose paradox. Right, for r for instance, what was the name of a site uh all based on uh on cats? Cats.
Woj Kwasi Um was that I can't has cheeseburgers, no?
Gianluca Fiorelli Hey yeah, the cheeseburger was substantially pounded. Powerful uh quicker. It was a cat splitter. Funny cat sprinkler. It started like this banny boat or something else, but it was a part. Usually websites are using the irony, the comedy. The comedy literally mode is where the brand, the hero, which can be both at the same time the brand, but also the user or brand, then it's on the same level. Yeah, so But the comedy usually is something is happening that is making the hero apart torn apart from society between brackets and then he recover and but he is able to come back to overcome the difficulties and come back to the
Yep. Let's say Dream side. So, for instance, in passion. Mm-hmm. You are the hero. You are like me. But you are are in your stranded moment because you are not using my clothing, you are also you are not using my apparel. But if you start staying with me, you are going to overcome this difficult difficulty. I'm thinking you see like a thing or two. Do not have my shoes, do not have my truck because you know you are not fashionable, you are not user. And so if you start My digging
Following me, my brothers, we are going to come back to this idea of society of tourism, of new traditional commerce and something like this, all these other classifications made about fashion. So, obviously, there are just few areas where you can use really well friends, like with one RB course sector.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli The first sector is using Raman really loaded for obvious reasons. They are showing four sector is like. We are showing for sector is like saving children, all these kinds of things. Okay, so Yes, we call it its phase because we in Italy we call it first second. Because it's not Ito B is not middle. Yes, we call it it. To see is human photos. And so, for instance, that's why we see the classic photo of the little boy which is farming in Africa, something to make for you in the magic. And the other one is politics. In politics, you can use a lot. Okay, maybe in the campaign here, in the United States, they are using poverty a lot with Trump and Right. Okay.
It's usually of the opposition.
Bobby Bot Alec Baldwin is a comedic genius, but I'd like to see him in a drama again.
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah, but uh yeah but dramas can be used, especially when you have to when it's coming to The the tragic bows are really important. So you are the heroes, you are uh you are fighting Epic usually is the divide.
Woj Kwasi Goo is investing very heavily in understanding not just you. User intent, but the meaning of content as well. We know that work from philosophers like Barthes, Derrida, and Lacan, that almost every text has a multitude of valid interpretations. There may be unseen consequences, not just for SEOs, but anyone publishing content or performing searches if Google is creating a monopoly of meaning.
Gianluca Fiorelli I don't know if it's only Google because if we want to think for instance in voice Search. One of them. Uh people is always talking about Google but should really look after Bing because Bing is uh Cortana, Bing is also Siri when Siri is searching something in the Internet. Uh and Bing is also Alexa, the Amazon when uh Alexa is searching something in in the internet. So I think if that probably Bing has more information about where search band was.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli And I think it's again it's like the classic question. Uh you know, sometimes you you can read the what you can read an article saying but uh because of poor people and because of internet people is becoming it's becoming stupid. Yeah. Because they don't have a difficulty to to start the searches by themselves.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli Taking information from many sources, just ask the Google, just ask Nvidia in order to receive.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli announcement. Maybe yes, maybe we can have this kind of reason.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli who is controlling the like who is judging the church. Maybe this is why maybe the European state we should start understanding something which is really European, which is when it is the fight against monopoly monopolies.
Woj Kwasi We
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah. Because Because Uh huh, diversity is very fine which is
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli If you are going to have just a monopoly, you are going to have to have one ounce it's not possible.
Bobby Bot Yeah. Classic dictatorship. Monarchy. Cake eaters with the freedom to become isolated from reality.
Gianluca Fiorelli It's like when you are in Facebook because it is showing you just your threat, so you are thinking that all the people in the world are democratic or libertarian.
Bobby Bot Yeah. Okay.
Gianluca Fiorelli No. Many are not libertarian, many are both in their parents' friends, they are both in the United Companies in the future. Yeah. They're all the military parties in the job. And it's just for people that have uh recently interacted with you anyway. Exactly, like the classic festival social power, which is also. But
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli Because of the person who is injured and searched, we are just always showing you what is the person.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli But in a sense Google is not so uh extremistic like in Facebook Twitter because Google in the algorithm always has something that's
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli showing you something new that you were able to buy.
Woj Kwasi Google Assistant is a tool in line with with the quote, I only search what I know and want quote mentality.
Gianluca Fiorelli I think but Coming back to the why Google is investing so much in mini, uh I think of it it's also so much because we are going to um We are going before it was uh mobile is going to surpass uh desktop searches. I think about now we are in the other kind of uh race when I think about quite soon in the future we are going to see voice search is going is surpassing type type answer. Because it's natural, we are it's going to be easier. We are going to have self-driving cars so we are going when we are driving you are asking uh Google show me how to go something. Google show me pizza dia your phone. Or
It's it's becoming quite natural to uh something was looking really stupid once, but it's becoming quite usual to
Woj Kwasi Mm yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli Mm.
Woj Kwasi Now it's conversation.
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah.
Woj Kwasi Now there's a conversation happening here.
Gianluca Fiorelli So that's why Google tends to understand better what is the meaning. So right now I think about it's more like the real scope of semantics and the artificial intelligence applied to language recognition is to be to understand what the water a phrase really. Yeah. So because we when we talk we usually imply something. We don't we don't speak as we die. We don't say I want you to uh rope. Okay, show me rope, I will go there in his post. So we apply many things. Good. We took The next problem, the biggest problem that I will ask, I think it's the next step, is that the what I call understanding the rhetoric. Right.
Because you can say a phrase with a tone of normal tone, so literally meaning what you are saying. But you can also pronounce that phrase ironically, sarcastically and so on. The problem is who will have is able to recognize. by rhetoric beyond the phrase. That's why pet that's why I talk about why I talk about rhetoric, because rhetoric is a let's say a segment, a segmentation of uh uh semantics, semiotics. Very tourist. Yeah. semiotics. So when it's able to from formal the formal use of certain of words and group of words and you can understand their meaning.
Woj Kwasi Remember?
Gianluca Fiorelli And how these words is used, these group of words are used. So that's why. And it's easier because semantics rhetoric and rhetoric follows some rules. And rules are what is this. Mm-hmm. In order to understand. So that's why coming back, I really was the first lack of study all this thing when I was at the University. I also had a great professor because I mean I'm one of the few can say but I both like for a professor for psychology.
Woj Kwasi How to use Google Assistant and specifically figuring out how Google is interpreting our content and our queries is essential to make sure we're optimizing for intent.
Gianluca Fiorelli We are talking about we we can see there also is some somehow in some evolution of certain table floors above. It's that that once it was really easy to write a good HDO code. You know what it's just okay, but the queue de title, the queue deathua, the keyword two or three times, the keyword deancha test, and so on. But now we are seeing that if you are using the keyword in the anchor text, both internal and external, you're going to have So why when we talk about meaning it's talking about context and when it And when we talk about context and natural language, he's talking about using related entities. That's why uh everything entity search is so important and software-based.
Semantics of this. Because if we are talking about, for instance, Seattle, we are naturally going to talk about the Space Needle, the Pike Market, Broadway, Capitol Hill, the Seattle, and so on. If we were talking about Seattle, but did not mention it also all these other entities, surely we are. going to have less opportunity to run for all the other related works.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli That's why sometimes when we say long forms are working or why? Yes, they are working because We want to be cynical because people are sharing a lot uh uh and making a lot of long form because so they look intelligent.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli But this is the mechanical of visual life. Also because of long form usually is really dense, talk, organized talk right uh written text about something with or the related topic inside. So, and usually the log form is really formally really well organized. It's H1, H2, H3, H1, H2, H3. So, but it's also all the HTML semantic signals Google is able to pick up.
Bobby Bot Yeah. The importance of keywords, so a different waiting. I don't want to wait in vain for you.
Gianluca Fiorelli That's why we can see that sometimes uh if your page is already ranking one uh ranking in the first page and then you simply add a clean HTML using UL oil, so the quality of the numbered uh using uh the H one that's really clean uh I should actually do well. You can eventually as a petrol stick because if if you are giving them
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli to Google a contest with words and you're giving a structure contest a structure to this contest of word. Okay.
Woj Kwasi And for clues as to the relevance of topics that it might be related to by your internal links. So, with voice and semantic searches on the rise, according to Gianluca, there are not many new challenges for international SEO, in particular.
Gianluca Fiorelli I think that is more a I don't think I SEO is going to praise.
Woj Kwasi Okay, fine.
Gianluca Fiorelli Really different challenges that he's facing right now. I think it's more a A sensation of a certainty when I say okay now because okay um when everything was easy for just I want to this page writing rank for uh pizza in uh in Madrid was easy I mean it We were just targeting the keyword, but now we're seeing this when people are using in-flight searches coming from in-flight searches and coming from.
Woj Kwasi Yeah please. Mm-hmm.
Gianluca Fiorelli Co-category disturbance. So it's really hard to say, okay, I want to
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli especially targeting this keyword, now you are start starting to say, Okay, I want this section of this page targeting this topic and all the related queries around this topic. It's not really something this is also hard to explain to your
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli to your clients. Because your clients still have the target of okay I want mistake words and okay whatever keywords you want but especially this one. And it's true I mean you you have to maintain this kind of velocity because you have to still target the the keyword with only keywords but then you you have to know that if you are it's good it's just create optimized phone. one keyword of every page from one keyword. Better to create a section that Google is going to consider as a logical entity about something.
Woj Kwasi Mm-hmm. Yeah. Maybe Mm-hmm. In an influential recent Moz blog post, Gianluca mentioned he would look at patents as part of his next round of investigations. That was bound to turn up some interesting
results.
Gianluca Fiorelli I mean you can find thousands, thousands of our patterns. First of all you we should always do a disclaimer before talking about the pattern. Patents are interesting in order to understand what Google is may be able to do.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli But until we are not able to, let's say, this pattern is saying this, this, this let's try to do an experiment in order to see if Google is doing this kind of thing. We are not never able to say if Google is really applying what is written in the pattern. Because we have to know that sometimes patterns are written also in the in a defensive way, in order to somehow prevent the others from going to public subjects. Something that is going to be useful for you. Mm-hmm.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli All the knowing how all the patterns were, we know air policemen silk and products and somehow how much you want. Things for them.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli But sir, I could say a bit. Some patterns that are really really keen and not all of them are really new because The Reasonable Surfer is not really new, but it was recently updated and it's really interesting because it's telling you how Google considers that people are using different sections of a web page. That's why Twitter links are less relevant than links in the in the bottom. or the sidebar links are less relevant than other navigational links and so on.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli Then I think there brought uh a patent that I really barely remember the long name of the patent, but it when he's talking about search entities. And I think it's really interesting because it's not search entities are not the classic entities we consider like the name of the planet, the name of person that went and so on. Search entities are things that are related to the process of doing of a query. When people are doing a query, what queries they are doing during a search session. The dependence of the queries with respect. Geographical context, Yeah.
Woj Kwasi Right. So kinda like behaviours almost or
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah, this is really important because all these search entities are substantially uh telling Google what kind How to really personalize their. And I think about we are always talking about round brain. Yeah. this stuff but we always should never forget that personalized search is the real search.
Woj Kwasi When thinking about real search, you must always consider the behavior of the person behind the keyboard and all the different techniques. Sometimes, they'll do multiple searches or have multiple tabs open. They have a number of Two of the difference. They have a number of different inputs.
Gianluca Fiorelli And then there is a third pattern which is about I have watch time as a rocket pack. We usually talk about CTR, CTR, CTR. But CTR is nothing. People are mad about situation. So the watch time which usually is referred to physically watch a video. Watch time? No, but watch time. Uh How long someone is watching that video?
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli And p and people usually it is just related to video search or YouTube. But in the public if you read it, it's related to all kinds of podcasts. How much time is someone is taking for reading a text, watching a video, watching a video, to listen to a podcast. So in that is the real engagement magic button.
Bobby Bot Scrollbutt.
Gianluca Fiorelli Morbid the CTR because I remember in uh at this boundar, uh Katharina I was talking about the dis difference between the clickbait and the good piece of content. Yeah. A good title. A a a good title and uh which is making you earning a l big C D R and a clickbait title uh title which making you earning a big C D R which is really different because This and this. But this is going to uh respect the promise that I don't make. The leaf page usually the context behind the cream they usually don't respect the problems made by the title. So people is going to make files there. In the other case, people is going to stay and watch and read. So for real engagement metric you want to choose one engagement metric. And analytics should be page on time, is using Google Tags, seeing people is scrolling up until the end of a blog post and something they hit.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Holy Yeah. Some of the patents Gianluca dug up, interestingly enough, had nothing to do with search.
Gianluca Fiorelli Sometimes when you look at patterns you can find sometimes more not worried about search, but maybe always with kind of two like his uh kind of patterns or of Facebook's strange project. So one was I think one of the strange and more futuristic patterns I read was the one about the lens. contact lens as a monitor contact lens. As a monitor. Yeah. I mean it could be oh maybe would have been interesting to understand why Google or the robotics companies and John Star Service.
Woj Kwasi Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli few years they resolved Uh you ask robotics so
Woj Kwasi Outside of search, our lives are a constant evolution. A learning journey. For someone with so much knowledge, it was interesting to hear about what Gianluca felt was the most important thing. you'd like to learn now.
Gianluca Fiorelli I don't have something really that I would like to hear. Maybe I would have something that I would really Restart doing again.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli For instance, uh this is more private, personal fancy part of me uh one of my hobbies When I was young, it was to paint media books. Paint what, sorry?
miniature. Mm-hmm.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah. No, even so.
Woj Kwasi Like a war war hammer, those guys? Like that.
Gianluca Fiorelli I like that. No, you take you take a w uh you bow you you build a little soldier with and you start painting men, you can be you know like in the classic war armor figures or you can be a little German Roman uh figure, soldiers and all it was something that I learned with my father. And be able to die around Roma.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli And I mean since quite many years because of the strange hours I do when working for my kids, this is a an hobby that I put in on a side that I would love to start like because it's really interesting because you have to be passionate, you have to learn how to apply colours, you have to finish, but you have to also you have to know a technique but you have but be also creative in order to do things well. So it's a really relaxing activity. I'm not a sporty guy, so I I wouldn't I would never tell I want to Mm-hmm. Yeah. It's a really electing. learn how to scuba dive uh consider sprint port recording. So I'm not working on the
Woj Kwasi What will search be like in 2020? Will virtual reality and the internet of things impact our lives? For Gianluca, there will be no monumental changes in our lifetime.
Gianluca Fiorelli I don't know, I think my time so much forces is all I'm doing. And since we also we could add also big data, another topic.
Woj Kwasi But you know, there'll be a time where there'll be RFID chips on this, it's finished, and another one will be here already, and you know, maybe in some ways the Internet of Things.
Gianluca Fiorelli In some ways the Internet of Things. I don't know, but I think that people, especially in our field, is too much thinking in a Star Trek way. On the other hand, maybe because I read also a lot of Steampunk and Cyberpunk Shipee novels, I know that maybe we are going to have a future where the tables, like you are saying, are going to abide the waiter, but we have ended our beer, so to come back and ask if we want another beer. But I also think that we are going to have a long period, classic period, where If we still find many bars with normal tables, we are not able to Understanding if we have the RB or not. So I think that it's interesting of this kind of thing.
Woj Kwasi Yes.
Gianluca Fiorelli But if we are consider whether in twenty twenty we are going to to see some sort of late runner kind of future, I don't think so. I think whether we are going to To sincerely to see streetcar with wheels for a long time, for instance, instead of uh the one uh without wheels and automated cars like in uh I think we already We already reported. What we are going to say, yes, okay about being already reported, I think we are already there. It's all about related about advertising. And now advertising is going to target each one of us really passionately.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli So really I really get a recognition and all these kind of things. Bad things are going to be done. And I think that this bad kind of thing we are we should could be able to do it already. But somehow thankfully legislation is not really allowing us to do all the things we could do right now, do all the things we have.
Woj Kwasi Hey, I
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah. So coming back to big data, to virtual reality, I think maybe we can see or will do some big use of that, especially of big data because of understanding data mining and so like for instance virtual real reality I see similarity, I don't see that mother with heavy art uh glasses uh on. Yeah.
Woj Kwasi Yeah. Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli Neither I. I I'm also in the business but kind of age weather. I I live Yeah. in a metallurgical era and now I'm living in the digital era, not a dig old digital one. A native digital one. So for me it too would be harder to not think about
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli We call reality lessons. As a lobby, as a funny thing, as a new interesting way to play with him.
Bobby Bot I think it's going to be a culture of convenience. I think the people who are already overweight are going to get more lazy and overweight. And the people who are into the health movement will get healthier. I think there are going to be conveniences for everyone. Hoverboards would solve all of these problems. But your offspring are not as self-sufficient. Unless we are talking about the road to YouTube startups, most of them have mastered that by the time they are. about eight years old.
Gianluca Fiorelli Yeah, yes. Sure, but yes, but I think that I'm one I'm really lucky to have to be fully. To be fully analogical me because. I mean let's say it Okay. All the things we are using are going to disappear for some for some reason. I sing now our things.
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli I think that my son
Woj Kwasi Yeah.
Gianluca Fiorelli Or or either my cousins, where they are totally digital, they would go into panic. It would have a survival. Just imagine if you put a million into it into the Amazonian forest without napping. Let's see.
Woj Kwasi I was gonna say no. Put him on Survivor or you know.
Gianluca Fiorelli If maybe only if they did uh they went to the boat panel, they maybe they can do something.
Woj Kwasi Have turned. To take a page out of Gianluca's book, we'll finish with a question from a Proust. Questionnaire. WojCasters, feel free to weigh in on this one in the comments section. Bobby Bot, if you please.
Bobby Bot The question is, if not yourself, who would you be?
Gianluca Fiorelli I if it was a fictional character I would like to be the the protagonist of uh time traveler like Edge West. Mm-hmm.
Woj Kwasi Right.
Gianluca Fiorelli Because that is something that I it's I always like to do time to do time traveling.
Woj Kwasi Hey, thanks to everyone for tuning in and a special thanks to Gianluca Fiorelli for all the insights and giving us an excuse to talk about terrifying sex bots. That doesn't happen every day. And thank you Proust for challenging our sense of self. Now Bobby's been programmed to be a quick learner and it's time for Bobby to ask me a few questions that piqued his curiosity from the episode.
Bobby Bot Just one question this time, Woj. If not yourself, who would you be?
Woj Kwasi Well that's an easy one Bobby. I want to be LeBron James for a day. Or maybe uh B-Real from Cypress Hill. How about you Bobby butt? If not yourself, who would you be?
not yourself, who would you be?
Bobby Bot I'd become Doc Brown from Back to the Future. The obvious reason is that I could time travel, have excellent mad scientist hair, and have a kid with a lifesavers vest do all the legwork while I Science the day away.
Woj Kwasi Are you still obsessing about time travel? I might need to check your programming. Think you might be happier with a Zen-like connection to the present moment. Time travel might just be a myth after all, you know that, right?
Bobby Bot As far as I know, Woj, I've already been to the past and we're living in an alternative reality. In my alternative timeline, I could have been a toaster, burning your toast constantly, angrily, vengefully.
Woj Kwasi Well that's not going to earn you any empathy points this round, buddy. With the Internet of Things, it could still be a possibility, but you haven't earned a body just yet.
Bobby Bot What are you at?
Settlement.
Woj Kwasi What did you say? You heard me.
